Rising from the Wimmera and Western
Plains, The Grampians are the very southern extremity of the Australian
Great Dividing Range. Running generally north and south, the Grampians
are three sets of ranges covering approximately 5,000 square kilometres.
The western ridge, known as the Victoria range, is world renowned for it's
collection of native Aboriginal art sites and abundance of wild flowers.
Proclaimed a National Park in 1984,
The Grampians is a world class tourist destination with spectacular scenery
and reminders of our ancient past. |
