About the Grampians

The Grampians National Park (Gariwerd) : (visitgrampians.com.au) is situated in central western Victoria about two and a half hours drive from Melbourne and six hours from Adelaide. The park is 168,000 hectares of fantastic walking tracks and beautiful views from the many roads that wind their way through breathtaking scenery. There are easy, moderate and hard walks for all ages and stages of fitness. The Peaks Trail has opened and is 144kms long.

Plan your day! You can visit the waterfalls, walk the tracks and then in the afternoon take in the excellent Halls Gap Zoo ( https://hallsgapzoo.com.au ). An exciting place for all ages.

Other very popular attractions are Mackenzie Falls, the Pinnacle, The Balconies and Reed Lookout, Boroka Lookout, Venus Baths, Silverband Falls, Mount Zero and Mount Stapleton.

Halls Gap is in the heart of the Grampians and centrally located to most of the attractions.

There is a wonderful walking/bike path that goes for approximately 5 kms right past our property. It starts at the Ararat turnoff and goes all the way out to Lake Bellfield. We do provide free push bikes or our neighbor has terrific electric bikes you can hire.
